Nangang District is located on the southeast side of Taipei, on the eastern edge of the Taipei Basin. It has a population of 120,000. It is the district with the smallest population in Taipei. Nangang District is dominated by the financial, media and telecommunications operations centers in the Taiwanese economic system. With the rapid economic development, high consumption power and industrial structure changes, the service industry accounts for nearly 90% of Taipei. In recent years, many key projects such as the High-speed Railway Nangang Station, the Nangang Transfer Station, the Nangang Financial Park, the Nangang Software Park and the Nangang Exhibition Hall have been invested. The Academia sinica is also located here. It is integrated into the largest transshipment center in Taipei.
